Quick & easy marinated chicken drumsticks

Introducing our sizzling chicken drumsticks, served with a kick of fresh chilli, paprika and chives. Pick your chicken up from our butchers counter, then head to Natoora for your vegetables. You can't go wrong with this warming autumnal dish this September. Our butchers counter is open 7 days a week, stocking your favourite meats from local producers.

Recipe for the marinade: (for approx 400gr chicken) 

  • 2 Garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 20g Spicy paprika powder
  • 30g Fresh chives 
  • 3 Red chilli 
  • Salt and pepper 
  • 100gr Extra virgin olive oil 

Other ingredients: 

  • 400g of chicken drumsticks and chicken wings – available from our butchers
  • 200g of tenderstem broccoli 
  • 1 clove of garlic, peeled 
  • 1 red chilli 


  • Prepare the marinade by crushing the cloves of garlic and slicing the red chilli. Mix the ingredients together in large bowl
  • Place the chicken in the bowl with the marinade, and coat each piece thoroughly
  • If you have enough time you can leave the marinated chicken overnight in the fridge!
  • Cut the Broccoli and place inside a large pot of boiling water for 4 minutes 
  • Fill a bowl with ice and water and add the broccoli to the ice bath 
  • Slice a clove of peeled Garlic and chop a red chilli. Remove the seeds if you prefer to keep it mild or leave them if you want more spicy
  • Place the broccoli once drained onto a flat tray and season with olive oil, salt, pepper, chopped chilli and sliced garlic
  • Cook them inside the oven preheated, set to 180c. Leave for 5 minutes
  • Begin cooking the chicken. Pan fry your chicken to give it a nice golden coat. If you have a barbecue, you can use the grill for this step.
  • To finish cooking the chicken, add it to a preheated oven, set to 180c. Leave to cook for 10-15 minutes
  • Plate your chicken with the chilli and garlic broccoli
